​Your Trial Day & Orientation 

We understand that choosing a childcare centre is an important decision for you and your child. That’s why at Younique Early Learning, we offer a trial day—a relaxed, supportive way for you and your little one to explore our environment before enrolment.

During the trial day, your child can play freely in the room while you see if the space feels right for your family. You’ll also have the opportunity to spend time with the room leader, ask questions, and discuss your child’s needs and routines.

Once you feel confident, we can proceed with enrolment and arrange your orientation day(s). Orientation usually lasts around one hour. For the first half-hour, you stay with your child to support them as they settle in and become familiar with the room and educators. After this, you are welcome to leave your child in our caring and supportive hands while they continue to explore and play independently.

We’re happy to schedule additional orientation sessions if needed, ensuring your child feels secure, confident, and ready for their first official day. 

What to Bring on Your Child’s First Day 

Starting childcare is an exciting milestone! To help your child feel comfortable, safe, and ready to explore, here’s a handy checklist for their first day at Younique Early Learning: 

• A labelled backpack or bag 

• At least two changes of labelled clothing 

• A sun hat for outdoor play (we follow SunSmart guidelines) 

• A water bottle with your child’s name 

• A comfort item (if needed), such as a dummy, soft toy, or blanket 

• Any medications with the necessary documentation 

We aim to make your child’s first day smooth, happy, and reassuring, and we are here to support both you and your little one every step of the way.

It’s a simple and easy way for families and educators to stay in touch and share in all the fun, learning, and milestones together.
